Partners
The ENGAGED Youth consortium brings together five universities and three non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working with youth from diverse backgrounds. Together, we co-create knowledge, measures and policy recommendations to strengthen youth participation in democratic life. This partnership forms the core of the project consortium, bringing together academic expertise, the lived experiences and perspectives of youth, and the hands-on knowledge of community-based practitioners.
Academic Partners
The project includes five academic institutions with strong research expertise in youth democratic participation and social inclusion:
- Glasgow Caledonian University (United Kingdom)
- Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Portugal)
- Universidad de Sevilla (Spain)
- Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai (Romania)
- Universitetet i Bergen (Norway)
Together these institutions contribute interdisciplinary knowledge and research capacity, forming the academic foundation of the ENGAGED Youth consortium.
NGO Partners and Living Labs
The project also includes three non-governmental organisations (NGOs) with extensive experience working directly with youth in diverse communities. These partners bring practical, field-based knowledge and ensure that youth voices are central throughout the project:
- Aventura Social Associação (Portugal)
- Pensando en el Futuro (Spain)
- Osmani Trust (United Kingdom)
The three NGOs play key roles as the project’s Living Labs, co-developing research activities and policy initiatives in close collaboration with youth.
